As you would like people to do to you, do exactly so to them.

What this verse means

Jesus gave children one of the simplest, wisest rules there is: treat other people the way you'd want to be treated. Before saying an unkind word or grabbing a toy, a child can pause and ask, "Would I want that done to me?" It turns kindness into something they can actually decide, moment by moment.

When to use it: A perfect page for teaching sharing, taking turns, and treating others well — great after a disagreement or for a kindness lesson.

Coloring and memory-verse tips

  • Say the verse aloud a phrase at a time while your child colors — coloring keeps hands busy while the words sink in.
  • Let them color the big bubble letters two alternating colors so the verse is easy to read from across the room.
  • Add the child's name and today's date in a corner, then hang the finished page where they'll see the verse each day.
  • Print on cardstock if you plan to use markers, so the colors stay bright and the ink doesn't bleed through.
