What this verse means
These are some of the kindest words Jesus ever spoke. When we're tired, sad, or carrying something too heavy, He doesn't say "try harder" — He says "come to me, and I will give you rest." A child can bring anything to Jesus, and He offers the gentle rest that only He can give.
When to use it: A soothing page for the end of a long or hard day, or a bedtime lesson on bringing our tiredness and worries to Jesus.
Coloring and memory-verse tips
- Say the verse aloud a phrase at a time while your child colors — coloring keeps hands busy while the words sink in.
- Let them color the big bubble letters two alternating colors so the verse is easy to read from across the room.
