But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.

What this verse means

Jesus tells us the secret to a life that isn't ruled by worry: put God first. When we make Him the most important thing — before our stuff, our plans, and our wants — He promises to take care of the rest. For a child, it's a lesson in trust: God comes first, and He can be counted on to provide what we truly need.

When to use it: A good page for a lesson on priorities and trusting God to provide, or on not letting worry take over.

Coloring and memory-verse tips

  • Say the verse aloud a phrase at a time while your child colors — coloring keeps hands busy while the words sink in.
  • Let them color the big bubble letters two alternating colors so the verse is easy to read from across the room.
  • Add the child's name and today's date in a corner, then hang the finished page where they'll see the verse each day.
  • Print on cardstock if you plan to use markers, so the colors stay bright and the ink doesn't bleed through.
